My husband and I have lingering credit issues. He has a credit score in the 580’s, me in the 530’s. We own a home and would like to get a loan to pay off all debt. I am going to print off our credit report and go into the bank and see if they will write the checks directly to the companies so they know where the money is going. I also work directly for the wealthiest man in the city where I live and he happens to bank where I do. I was planning on using him as a reference. But I have overdrafted with that bank……Any advice would be great. Thanks.

If we get married and do NOT have any joint accounts, seperate car loans, home in my name, seperate credit cards, etc, will his credit score have any effect on mine? Also if he continues to damage his credit after getting married, will that effect my credit score?
