Worried I won’t get a job at Countrywide due to bad credit?

I had an interview with Countrywide KB processing mortgage loans and the interview went REALLY good. I was told one more person to interview but then I was introuduced to people in the office, so I feel I got the job. I was told they needed to do background check on me and that takes a week. My background is totally clean, I have excellent employment references, and the experience for the job. The only thing is my credit is is BAD shape due to a divorce and not having money to pay my bills. I plan on fixing my credit and I know how, just need the money to do so. I know the importance of good credit and I look at credit on a daily basis while processing mortgages. i do have 3 good accounts on my credit report.
Do you think I will get the job even though my credit sucks, I have everything else in my favor as far as experience, references, I’m afriad my credit will hold me back.
FYI, I did get the job!! My credit is bad, but it was not even brought up as an issue. The lady in the background dept said if it was bad all I had to do was write a letter of explantion.

I think it depends where you work with Countrywide. I’m working for CW KB processing mortgage loans. All I had to do is write a letter on why my credit was bad and what I was going to do to fix it. I also had to explain why I had a speeding ticket 2 years ago. My interview went really good and the background check takes awhile. My interview was on 6/26. I assume they started the background 2 days later, today is 7/9 and all thats left is for mangement to sign off on my background check, so i’m pretty sure I’m good. I am set to start this Friday! They pay really well too! Good Luck!! Please email me and I know this process can be nerve wracking!
