Advice? I’m confused which direction to take?
toronto06 asked:
Currently I’m working at a telemarketing job that I absolutely can not stand but pays very well. I want to start my own personal training business. Right now I’m in the position that I can either take out a bank loan and get all of my certifications needed and start the business, or I can stay at the job I’m in now and put off the business, and earn money. I’m young (24) and I’m wondering if its a good idea to do it now or put it off for a bit. My heart really is not in my current job. My background is in weight loss and nutrition. Also I’m just about to move into a new home with my boyfriend, I had been out of work for about 3 months prior to the job I have now. I can survive off the bank loan for a couple months but it would mean giving up the job I have now to pursue the other career. part time isn’t an option at my current job, I’m fairly sure it would be easy to get a personal training job while I start up my business. Any advice would be great thanks

I have been working in my position at the hospital for 8 1/2 years. On paper I make good money, which means I qualify for no help from any sort of state aid. I have had MANY medical problems this year, which I have had to take FMLA for; 1 major surgery (which with deductible is over $2000, and two 3 week stays in the hospital. So for that of course, I have numerous medical bills. Not only this, I am 6 months behind in payments pending a short sale on a house I own(ed) with my exboyfriend who went completely psychotic and it was unsafe to live there anymore with my daughter. The house has been for sale for a year and a half. So I now live in an apartment. My mom has given me quite a bit of money to help. My job is on the brinks of extinction. Due to the holidays I will be 32 hours short on my paycheck for christmas. We get sent home from work regulary due to patients not showing up, and this of course is without pay. My credit score has dropped almost 300 points due to the house. I work 3, 12 hour shifts. So getting sent home is me losing $200 just like that. A kid just hit my car a few days ago and is undrivable. Geez can u guess that I cannot afford the $500 deductible? Of course the easy answer is to get a second job. However the job would be minimum wage, which would not even cover the daycare costs. In my profession, there is only ONE lab in the entire state that is hiring. The cost of moving plus daycare would be even more than it is now. I get free nightime daycare from my mother for now. But the added expense of another job would again not even cover the cost of daycare. If I moved I would have to find a daycare that watches kids overnight; again, MORE expense!!! I have to work at night; that is the nature of my job, i work in sleep medicine if you were wondering. I have no way to budget because I never know what my next check will look like. I have been in contact with my creditiors as much as possible, but honestly they do not care less lol. The very last thing I can think of to do, is to take a hardship loan from my 401k. I do not like the idea, but since my credit score is now so low, I cannot qualify for any type of personal loan. I REALLY don’t like the thought of bankruptcy because I am so stubborn!!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea what to do, who, how, or what to pay to satisfy my lendors (medical bills) and such. I have gone down to the bare minimum. No car port, no cable. Internet is my only luxuary on my 6 year old SLOW computer lol. No landline phone, just a simple boost phone. Any ideas? HELP!

Worried I won’t get a job at Countrywide due to bad credit?
irisherin1981 asked:
I had an interview with Countrywide KB processing mortgage loans and the interview went REALLY good. I was told one more person to interview but then I was introuduced to people in the office, so I feel I got the job. I was told they needed to do background check on me and that takes a week. My background is totally clean, I have excellent employment references, and the experience for the job. The only thing is my credit is is BAD shape due to a divorce and not having money to pay my bills. I plan on fixing my credit and I know how, just need the money to do so. I know the importance of good credit and I look at credit on a daily basis while processing mortgages. i do have 3 good accounts on my credit report.
Do you think I will get the job even though my credit sucks, I have everything else in my favor as far as experience, references, I’m afriad my credit will hold me back.
FYI, I did get the job!! My credit is bad, but it was not even brought up as an issue. The lady in the background dept said if it was bad all I had to do was write a letter of explantion.
Hey Laura,
Email me if you like to discuss more.
I think it depends where you work with Countrywide. I’m working for CW KB processing mortgage loans. All I had to do is write a letter on why my credit was bad and what I was going to do to fix it. I also had to explain why I had a speeding ticket 2 years ago. My interview went really good and the background check takes awhile. My interview was on 6/26. I assume they started the background 2 days later, today is 7/9 and all thats left is for mangement to sign off on my background check, so i’m pretty sure I’m good. I am set to start this Friday! They pay really well too! Good Luck!! Please email me and I know this process can be nerve wracking!
