Ok I would like to raise money for my friend’s college loans(he may not get to go next semester =[ )and I have a relatively new 360 (Only a few months old got shelved when the slim came out) that nowhere will offer any decent amount of cash for it and I was wondering if I can do an online contest(like a lottery) where people buy tickets for chances to win and once a bidding minimum has been reached I pick a random user out of a hat(or online statistics app) and they get the xbox?

I would be using paypal as the site to donate for the tickets/chances and if possible I would like to use youtube and a few forums as the conduits for contest entry.
Um not to argue but can you go a little more in depth? I would also make sure everyone who enters is over 18 to assure no minor mishaps. Do you know if you have to be over 18 to make a paypal account?
I trust you two are right. I’ve looked a little at online raffle laws themselves and was just wondering if I opened a donation link to my friends funds and if he receives the amount he needs could I throw a free xbox giveaway in celebration? It’s a bit sketchy but thank you for your time.
